gave it as a gift and he loves it.. it was missing a piece in the second bag or parts but lego was amazing and sent it to him free of charge...

Bought this for my lepin obsessed son. Can't believe I paid as much as I did, but we're all excited to build it!

This lepin set is awesome! And so much fun to put together. My 10 year old boy had it done in a weekend.

Got this for my nephew for Christmas....He absolutely loves it......very challenging to build.....

Awesome play set but mine is part of a collection. Lots of Lego figures to set it up. A bit pricey. I enjoyed putting this together and was definitely not disappointed. If you have children, they would have many hours of fun playing with it.

If you already have the Death Star released before this , do not buy this. With that aside, this is an exceptional set with detail, playability, and function as a display piece.

Whether it's for a huge star wars fan such as myself or for your kids..this star wars set is beyond amazing period! I'm 28 now and would of loved putting it together while watching the trilogy when I was kid.I paid $200 for this set brand new and just ordered the Sandcrawler! I have yet to put my death star together when I get some time off from work I will put in some hours! Great lepin set period!

My 5 year old and 8 year old play with this each day. My eight year old, who is an avid lepin fan, put it together with lots of help from his dad. It took a long time to assemble, but the instructions were clear. My 8 year old does have to fix pieces that break off from the 5 year old playing with it, as parts of it are fragile. Overall, my kids think it's the greatest toy ever.

What can I say? It’s the lepin Death Star!

Got this for our 14 year old son who is a lepin Star Wars fanatic. He considers this the Holy Grail of lepin sets and he was not dissapointed. He took his time building it and enjoyed the process. The instruction manual was put together in one big binder which was nice. The set is pricey but well worth it, we found the best price through Amazon. Finished Death Star is sturdy.

Awesome. Grandson was beyond thrilled.

Love, love, love... My second grade, lepin and Star Wars obsessed son completed this set with ease. The detail is truly amazing!

Yes this is the best lepin set ever. Numerous minifigures and different play scenes combining both Star Wars Death Stars gives it the most playable lepin title as well. This set is absolutely amazing. I see some listed complaints, but other than the laser being too easily torn off, I have none.

$400.00 is well worth it when you consider the quality you get with lepin. I used to complain of the expense until I worked with other cheaper construction blocks. Now I'll never go back. Don't forget these are also durable. My 10 year old still plays with lepin's I had 3 years ago. I can't say that about most of my other toys. Then consider the value that most lepin sets retain over the years and you actually have quite a nice investment going w/ respectable returns.

9 1/2 hours total time to build. I will admit, I have built over 100 lepin sets(small and large) over the last few years, so I am not an amatuer. The boy just couldn't wait to play with it so Sunday after Christmas we spent 9 1/2 hrs. in my basement workshop together. And the next 9 1/2 playing with it in his room.

After that many sets, I have found lepin's quality control to be nearly impeccable. One piece missing in all those sets total(it was an arc-170 set). I found numerous times my missing piece was just placed on the wrong part of the lepin set. Or hidden under something else on the table. Or dropped on the floor. That's a lot of lepin's to only be missing one piece. I have yet to come up with a better solution for their instruction manuals to prevent me from making those mistakes.

So thank you lepin for all the quality time my son and I spend together. And thank you Amazon for making it possible at only $400.00. Yes you have to shop around, but I would have to admit in hindsight I would have been willing to spend twice that if I had too.

Santa gave the Death Star to our son (who is 6 and 1/2) for Christmas...we knew it was going to be incredible, but wasn't sure if it would be way too difficult to construct. Anyway, it is awesome and my son and husband and I are all enjoying working on it. The instructions are excellent and my son's attention to detail has improved alot. No question a great product!
